Cinder Works will record the required inspection hour inside paid shift time during a six-week trial. The decision follows a comparison of safety cards with payroll marks at the east furnace.

Crew delegate Dara Flint said workers already completed the card before the first production charge. The payroll register began later, leaving the inspection outside the paid total even though the board required it.

Mill managers supported the trial after asking that each card carry a start time and a crew signature. The board accepted both requests and kept production output separate from safety time.

The closeout review will compare inspection minutes with payroll entries. It will decide whether to make the line permanent or change the card before another trial.

The board closed this docket by approving a paid inspection line for the next shift window. The next file will compare clock marks with completed cards.
